Inter-Ministerial committee on Covid-19North West MEC for the department of Community Safety and Transport Management Sello Lehari joined the Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19 vaccine visit at Freedom Park in Rustenburg, North West. The visit is led by the Defense Minister Thando Modise, Minerals and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe, and the North West MEC for Finance Motlalepula Rosho. The purpose of the entourage’s visit is to engage on strategic interventions aimed at ramping up the COVID-19 vaccination rollout programme. The programme, led by Deputy President David Mabuza, whom is also the Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial committee on Covid-19 has undertaken to visit all identified provinces to provide oversight support. The North West is currently the third lowest perfoming province. This as government is working towards ensuring that the country reaches population immunity by the 31st of December 2021.
